I qualified from the prestigious London Foot Hospital (UCL) in 1999 and have over 25 years of experience as a qualified podiatrist. As a proud member of the Royal College of Podiatry, I bring a

wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from working within many sectors of Podiatry, including NHS clinics, hospital settings and private practice.

At Carmenta life, I offer Nail Surgery. This procedure is known as TNA, total nail avulsion or PNA, a partial nail avulsion. This procedure done under an local anesthetic is considered as a minor operation commonly done for persistent in growing toe nails and for heavily fungal toe nails.

Stages:
Pre- op: I always carry out a pre op either in person or on zoom. This is where I assess your individual suitability for the procedure.

Booking: Once the pre-op is completed, you can book with me to have your PNA or TNA done at Carmenta life. A non-refundable deposit is needed at this stage to secure a clinic space £200.
Day of Procedure: I allow 1hr 30 mins of time, allowing a suitable settling in time, to go over documentation and clear discussion about the procedure and time for you to ask any questions before and after.
It is advisable not to drive straight after the procedure as your toes will still be numb and your insurance could be not valid, therefore it is best to arrange a lift home.
Aftercare: You will be shown how to look after and care for your toe(s) after the procedure and a follow-up appointment will be arranged 1 week from the day of your surgery. This is included in the total fee.

Toe – Nail Surgery Fees:
1 x PNA or TNA – £450 (includes £200 deposit and 1 aftercare appointment)
2 x PNA or TNA – £800 (includes £200 deposit and 1 aftercare appointment)
On the days I am not at Carmenta life, I am happily doing a range of podiatry as a domiciliary practitioner in and around Berkhamsted.
